MEASURING FOR HINGE HOLES 

The hanging of your door is an important feature as it’s not just the opening mechanism but the hinges are crucial to supporting the door’s weight and to avoid potential distortion over time.

All doors can be pre-drilled with 38mm cup holes.

The following points will help to guide you through the process:

• Always measure from the back of the door and measure to the centre of the hinge hole.
• If you require your new doors to have the same hinge hole positions as your existing doors, measure the first hole from the top of the existing door to the centre of the hole and measure the second hole from the bottom of the door to the centre of the bottom hinge hole.
• 
• For taller doors, repeat the process working from the top and bottom of the doors as below.
• If you are ordering doors for a new cabinet or changing the position of the hinges we recommend that the top hinge hole is no more than 100mm from the top of the door and the bottom hinge hole is no more than 100mm from the bottom of the door.
• For good stability on taller doors, the hinges/hinge holes should be equally spaced.
