A simple guide to ordering new doors

 

How do you measure a door for your kitchen, bedroom or home office?

Start by drawing a simple layout of your kitchen/bedroom/office including drawers.

Its easier to number each door and drawer front on your plan.

Check all cabinets and drawers to make sure that they are in a good condition. Replacement cabinets and drawer boxes are all available on our web site.

Check your door hinges. Do they need replacing? Replacement soft close hinges are available on our web site.

To obtain the correct the sizes of doors you should always measure the reverse of your existing doors in millimetres (mm). This is because some kitchen doors may have bevel or slight ‘pencil round’ edge to the front which could affect the measurement you take, so it’s best to measure from the reverse.

Doors are generally available in standard sizes for standard cabinets but all Furniture Doors collections are available in made to measure sizes. We offer all size options on our website.

Decide on your door style, colour and finish. We have a range of high quality doors in either Vinyl, Acrylic or hand painted. Click on our Colour Swatch for our complete colour palette.

Our doors can be ordered pre-drilled. See our guidance sheet to help you decide on the number of hinges you will require and the hole dimensions.
